You built the career, the title, and the reputation. Somewhere in the process, the goal quietly stopped feeling like enough. Dr. Khaldoun Sweis works one-on-one with successful men, executives, founders, and professionals who have already won by every external measure and are now asking a harder question: what is all of this for? This is personal coaching for a genuine crossroads, not a motivational pep talk.
Men typically begin this work while facing one of the following:
Why Dr. Sweis
Dr. Khaldoun Sweis holds a PhD in Philosophy of Mind from the University of Hull. He serves as Chair of the Department of Humanities at Olive-Harvey College (City Colleges of Chicago) and as Associate Professor of Philosophy, and spent nearly a decade as a Tutor in Philosophy of Religion at the University of Oxford.
His recent public work speaks directly to the questions successful men are asking in private: "What Is True Masculinity? A Philosophical Conversation on Men, Meaning, and Culture," "The Loneliness Epidemic: Why We Are More Alone Than Ever Before," and "The Art and Science of Self-Mastery in a Triggered World." This is coaching built on philosophical rigor, not slogans.
The Process: The Phoenix Effect
Dr. Sweis's coaching methodology, the Phoenix Effect, moves through five stages: Passion, Purpose, Productivity, Profit, and Peace. It draws on CBT-informed reframing, motivational interviewing, and implementation intentions — methods grounded in a major 2024 meta-analysis covering 642 tests. Read the full Phoenix Effect coaching process.
For Men of Faith
For men who want their faith integrated into the work rather than set aside from it, Dr. Sweis is also an author on Christian apologetics and philosophy of religion and can draw on that framework explicitly in session. This is entirely optional — the coaching stands on its own for any man ready to do the work, regardless of faith background.
